Twigs, carefully placed pebbles and folded or pierced leaves perform as a transient choreographic system. Path Finder explores a speculative vocabulary developed through and within my familiar forest. Articulating through the dynamic between the materiality of found materials and the information embedded within. Attuning to the details within our environments, can we translate them into a score or a poem?

When looking into the remnants of landscape-tied spirituality in Slovenia I came across a mention of a practical language now mostly forgotten. A system of signs once present within peripheral and clandestine rural communities, that was used to navigate surrounding landscapes. Scattered cues intelligible only to their kin would punctuate their movements and experiences and speak of their whereabouts.
